Healing Through Music
Music Therapy is an evidence-based multisensory therapy that is particularly effective for kids who may not be ready to talk about their past. We spoke with Sam Krahe, MT-BC (Music Therapist Board Certified), NMT (Neurologic Music Therapist) about his work with Harborcreek Youth Services' Music Therapy program and why it's been a staple here for almost a decade.

Our Therapy Garden
“Mindfulness and meditation practices have been implemented at HYS for years in individual and group formats to help kids learn to notice their bodies, their surroundings, find a sense of calm.” One of these ways is through our Therapy Garden.
HYS Supervisors Win Prestigious Patriot Award
Marc Bush is a father, husband, Clinical Therapist in the St. Joseph House at Harborcreek Youth Services…and a First Lieutenant serving as a Medical Logistics Officer for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Recently, Marc worked to recognize his supervisors and our agency for their efforts to support him while on duty by nominating Shari Gross and Erin Bastow for the Patriot Award, which is presented through the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) program.
