Thank you for your interest in Harborcreek Youth Services. We depend on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to provide the best treatment programs possible for our clients.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses, and that match can often double - or even triple! - your gift.

If your company matches charitable gifts, you may be able to access any necessary forms through your company's website or your Human Resources office. Once you obtain the forms your organization needs, we'll be happy to assist you with any information about our agency you require to complete their paperwork. Harborcreek Youth Services is also registered to receive eligible matching gifts through Bank of America Matching Gift Program and Erie Insurance Giving Network. Please contact your employer about specific limitations and recording your contribution!  For questions or help, call Shelley Torrey at (814) 899-7664, extension 308 - thank you!

GE Employee and Retirees - you can double your gift! Your individual contribution of $25.00 or more will be matched by the GE Foundation Matching Gifts Program. To report your gift, call 1-800-305-0669.

Erie Insurance Group Employees and Directors of the Erie Indemnity Company Board - Your individual contribution of $25.00 or more will be matched by the Erie Insurance Matching Gift Program...up to $10,000 per calendar year! Click here for a printable "Matching Gifts" form.

Of course, there are hundreds more companies that match donations (PNC Bank, LORD Corporation, JCPenney, Highmark, and so many more in our area) but studies show less than 10% of employees utilize this valuable benefit! Don't leave money on the table: find out if your company or organization matches charitable donations, and then let us know how we can help.

For those 70½ or older, it is once again possible to make tax-favored charitable gifts from IRA accounts. A total of up to $100,000 can be transferred directly from IRAs to one or more qualified charities such as, free from federal income tax each year. There may also be state income tax savings.

Amounts given in this way count toward required IRA minimum withdrawal amounts for the year of the gift. Check with your IRA administrator or your tax advisor for more information on how to make such gifts.

We regret that we can no longer accept donations of clothing - we simply do not have storage space. Please utilize one of the Salvation Army or Goodwill drop-off bins located throughout the city. We also cannot accept obsolete computer equipment or electronics - these items must be disposed of in accordance with local e-Waste guidelines.
