Happy Holidays from our family to yours!

Harborcreek Youth Services recognizes that the holidays can be a difficult time for families when they are separated from their loved one. We consider you to be an important part of ‘our family’. We would like to ease this burden by sharing with you some of the things we are doing with the young men placed in our care.

Our annual Christmas dinner for our staff, board members and Friends was a resounding success.  It was the first year in recent memory that we did not have to traverse through a blizzard to get there.  The ballroom at the Lawrence Park Golf Club looked beautiful and was very comfortable – acoustics were great and the food was awesome.  And a big plus was the fact that it was close to our agency for transporting the kids in the choir to the venue.  Sr. Carol Morehouse, Chairperson of the Board of Directors warmly welcomed ninety-seven guests to the dinner and net proceeds for the event exceeded $3,000. These funds will be used to use to purchase Christmas gifts for our residents. 

Our annual Friends' Christmas Dinner is always a highlight of the holiday season. You won't want to miss this year's event, which will be held on Thursday, December 8 at the Lawrence Park Golf Club at 3700 East Lake Road. The cash bar opens at 6:00 PM, dinner will be served at 6:30 PM, and our program begins at 7:30 PM. Holiday music will be performed by the HYS Youth Choir. Our featured speaker will be Shawn Reese, former HYS resident and current owner of Supreme Window Cleaning. Tickets are $30 per person. Despite the rain, we had a good time and a fairly good turnout for our race on Saturday, June 25th.  Many thanks to all our runners and walkers. Your participation was much appreciated and we hope to see you all again next year. Bring a friend!
