Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Therapist

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive functional assessments of adolescents in the context of their families, peer group, school and neighborhood.
  • Develops and maintains professional boundaries and relations with clients.
  • Seeks to understand the root of the adolescents' problems.
  • Develops appropriate treatment plans according to the MST model.
  • Intervenes and provides immediate assistance in crisis situations.
  • Provides regular in-home visits with youth and families in order to implement and monitor treatment goals.
  • Empowers parents to effectively address their children's needs.
  • Performs on-call responsibilities and is accessible to clients.
  • Maintains documentation and files on treatment and progress of assigned caseload.
  • Travels extensively to clients' homes in order to  perform job duties.

 

 

MST Therapist qualifications include:

  •    Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work.
  •    2 -3 years of direct clinical experience with children, youth and families within a social service environment.
  •    Current PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Clearances and a valid PA driver's license.

 

 

 

 


Internship Opportunities at HYS

Harborcreek Youth Services has limited opportunities for internships. If we have one available, we will advise the local Universities and work with the schools to find a suitable candidate. We do not accept direct applications for internships
